Specimen Collection Instructions

Used for potential crossmatch; place the blood bank armband on patient and patient specimen. If there is a delay in transport of >30 minutes, separate plasma from red cells to optimize antibody identification. Submit both identified plasma tube and original red cell tube to blood bank.
